Jackie has gotten to the point in her life where she no longer feels compelled to finish bad books. Because of this she finds awards and vetted booklists incredibly helpful. Especially if they come from a trustworthy source with an excellent record. Cybils is just that, and Jackie has been proud to have been involved since the inaugural year.
A full-time Readers’ Services Librarian, Jackie spends her days thinking up ways to connect people of all ages with books, and her commutes and nights reading (and occasionally giving up on) as many books as possible to do that job better. In between, she reads picture books with a pretty awesome toddler. She’s thrilled to once again take up the mantle of Cybils YA Fiction Chair and save people time by highlighting awesome books.
