About Eisha Prather

Today we introduce Eisha, our Non-Fiction Picture Books organizer:

Hey! I’m Eisha, and I’m the other half of the blogging team behind Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast (you’ve already met Jules). At our blog we review books for all ages, but we tend to emphasize children’s and YA lit. We also feature interviews with authors, illustrators and bloggers; participate in Poetry Fridays; and invite the entire cyber community to hang out with us on Sundays and tell us about the good things that happened over the past week in a feature we call 7-Imp’s 7 Kicks.

For last year’s inaugural Cybils Awards I had a fabulous time serving as a panelist for Poetry, and this year I’m honored to be heading up the Non-Fiction Picture Books category. I’ll also be serving as a panelist for Young Adult Fiction.

In real life, I’m a librarian, with a B.A. in English Lit and a M.S. in Library and Information Science. I’ve worked in public libraries, primarily in children’s and YA services, for eleven years or so. Originally from Nashville, TN, I spent a few years in Cambridge, MA before recently relocating to Ithaca, NY. Now I finally understand those bumper stickers.
