Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age by Cheryl Bardoe

MammothsMastodons What better time than winter to read a book about Ice Age denizens? This past fall, Carol took a look at Nonfiction Picture Books nominee Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age by Cheryl Bardoe. This book talks about the scientific exploration of the giant creatures of the Ice Age, including some of the major discoveries of recent decades. In her review, Carol says:

The book is full, full, full of incredible photographs and watercolor illustrations and maps and diagrams, sure to catch the eye of even the most reluctant of readers.
