Earlier this year, she reviewed YA Fiction nominee The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder, about teenager Cam Cooper, whose life has been uprooted not only by a move to Maine but also by cancer. Clementine said in her review:

Although it could easily fall into the cancer-book tropes that seem to populate much of the YA fiction about disease, Wunder gracefully sidesteps these pitfalls and maintains a graceful balance of humor and sadness.
