It’s CYBILS TIME again! (Already? Can you believe it?)
After 10 years of doing this, you know the drill. We need YOUR help. It wouldn’t be the Cybils without audience participation. So, we are lining up a crew of judges (newbies and returning ones) who will be willing to read, discuss, think about, blog about, narrow down, and select the year’s best (and most kid-friendly) books.
Before you get too excited (Oooh! Pick ME!), go check out our FAQs about judging for us. There is this one, this one, and this one.
After you’ve done that, if you’d like to sign up, here’s the link to the application form. Be sure to fill out all three category choices, and make sure they are ones that you will be willing to spend a lot of time reading (because you will be spending a lot of time with these books). The deadline to submit your application is September 14th.
Our caveat: choosing judges isn’t a popularity contest. We try very hard to fit people to the best places we think they can go. If we don’t pick you, it’s not because we don’t like you. We hope you’ll still nominate your favorite books, drop by to read reviews, and follow the progress of the award.
