A Heartfelt Goodbye (and Thank You!)

As the saying goes, change is really the only thing you can count on in life.  And although we usually have some shifts in volunteers, this year, there are some big changes.

It’s with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our founder, President, and Fearless Leader, Anne Levy. Life changes has made it such that she needs to step back from the Cybils, though it will always have a big part in her heart. We will miss her enthusiasm dearly. She will be replaced by the current Cybils treasurer, Stephanie Charlefour. Stephanie has been volunteering with Cybils since 2012 and is excited to take over the position of President.

We also need to say goodbye and a huge thank you to longtime Cybils volunteer and current Literary Evangelist/Social Media Guru Jen Robinson. She will also be very missed! Terry Dougherty is returning to the Cybils to take over Jen’s position and run the social media accounts.

And we need to say goodbye to several category chairs: Easy Reader/Early Chapter Book chair Kristi Bernard, YA Fiction chair Melissa Wiley, Poetry chair Jone MacCulloch, and Middle Grade Fiction chair Karen Yingling. Taking over their slots will be Pam Coughlan (Easy Reader/Early Chapter Book), William Polking (YA Fiction), Bridget Wilson (Poetry), and Alex Baugh (Middle Grade Fiction).

We want to thank everyone all for all the time and effort they put in,  whether it was for one year or many, even when life got busy. We send you virtual flowers, chocolate, and our good wishes.

Now on to the 2018 Cybils season!
