#CYBILS2023 Public Nomination Period is here

  1. Public Nominations #CYBILS2023
    10/1/2023 – 10/15/2023

The day you’ve been waiting for: nominating your favorite books for the 2023 CYBILS Awards. A few quick reminders. To be eligible a book must be:

* written for a youth audience.

* one you believe represents a perfect combination of high literary merit and reader appeal.

* published in the United States or Canada between 10/16/2022 and 10/15/2023.

* widely available through booksellers & libraries.

* meet our inclusivity guidelines.

Also important: You can only nominate one book per category per person. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once a book has been nominated, it can’t be re-nominated, so have a second book ready just in case. The form will kick you back if you try to nominate more than one book or if someone else has already nominated it. You can nominate a book in any category. Check our Eligible in 2023 Goodreads shelf to find nominations in categories that you don’t normally read.

Self-nomination and nominations by people who have an association with a book are not accepted at this time. Publishers and authors, you must wait until the public nomination period closes before submitting your own titles. The Publisher/Author Submission period is 10/16/2023-10/25/2023.

Follow this link to nominate your favorite books in all our categories. If you don’t know where the book should go, please read through the descriptions to help you decide. If you’re still not quite sure, make your best guess, and we can straighten things out behind the scenes.

Thank you for participating! We can’t wait to see what you all nominate!
