Only two more days until we publish the finalists in all eight categories. I wanted to take this time to thank all our hard-working panelists for sifting through roughly 700 books in only six weeks, and to our organizers for birthing this baby in record time and with almost zero complications.
But the biggest shout-out goes to Kelly Herold, whose blog started it all and who quickly tapped her expansive network of kidlit bloggers to motivate everyone and bring us all together. Me? I just did the typing. Cough.
Back to the finalists: Organizers are steadily submitting the short lists, and I expect to be able to publish them all on time, first thing Monday morning.
Each category will be posted separately in 15 minute intervals starting at about 9 a.m. eastern time. Keep checking back for your favorite category!
