He's a second grade teacher and returnee to the Cybils, and on his blog, he provides links, reviews, and other resources for classroom teachers. Fun fact: His blog sidebar has a ton of lists of online learning tools for math, science, vocabulary, and more.

LuluandtheDuckOne of his recent reviews was of Early Chapter Book nominee Lulu and the Duck in the Park, written by Hilary McKay and illustrated by Priscilla Lamont. Lulu is a girl who loves all kinds of animals, and a lot of hilarity ensues one day when her dog Sam follows her to school. About the book, Jeff says:

Lulu has arrived from across the pond in England and she is a delightful
character. Transitional readers will enjoy the adventures of Lulu and
her cousin Mellie as they get into mischievous situations without
trying.
