Jeff Barger of NC Teacher Stuff–a Round 1 judge for Easy Readers and Short Chapter Books–is today's featured blogger. He's a second grade teacher and returnee to the Cybils, and on his blog, he provides links, reviews, and other resources for classroom teachers. One of his recent reviews was of Early Chapter Book nominee Lulu and the Duck in the Park, written by Hilary McKay and illustrated by Priscilla Lamont. Lulu is a girl who loves all kinds of animals, and a lot of hilarity ensues one day when her dog Sam follows her to school. About the book, Jeff says:
